Acanthia Copperwick (Julia) is the daughter of Medford Copperwick, a diplomatic ambassador to the eastern lands. As a child Acanthia wintered in central Mansura and spent summers traveling to visit her father wherever he was assigned. Her mother, Selene, is a respected healer who inspired Acanthia's interest in botany.
